New Acts Announced for Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival

The biggest event of the summer just got more exciting. Announcing the addition of Something Underground, Sorry for Partying, Leon and the Peoples and The Congress to the JAS musical lineup Friday, Sep.2 - Sunday, September 4. The new acts will take the indoor and outdoor stage alongside headliners Michael Franti and Spearhead, Steely Dan, Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and NitGrit. It's another fabulous Friday afternoon, and time for another gathering of the Friday Afternoon Club. Locals and visitors celebrate the start of the weekend with any number of festive opportunities - there's an art opening at Elliot Yeary Gallery from 4-7 p.m., live music and killer sushi at Kenichi, from 6-8 p.m. and pick a patio, any patio; Aspen has the finest spots for late-afternoon sunshine, bar specials and a view to remember. Hike up Aspen Mountain, play volleyball in Koch Lumber Park or have a picnic by the Roaring Fork River. FAC, alive and thriving in Aspen, Colorado.


Free Concerts have hit Snowmass

It's the locals' favorite part of summer nights. Take the bus from downtown Aspen, free of charge, and thoroughly enjoy an evening of music in the mountains. Thursdays at 6 p.m., it's the Snowmass Summer of Free Music - this week, featuring New Orlean's legend Walter Wolfman Washington.
