Independence Pass Open for the Summer!

This just in - yes, despite winter's last-ditch attempts to stick around, the hard work of clearing crews is about to pay off. One of the area's most scenic roads - indeed, an official Colorado Scenic Byway - will open for the summer season this Thursday, May 26 around 2 p.m. No huge ribbon-cutting ceremony but you can be sure, lots of celebration about to begin!


Skiing for Memorial Day Weekend

In the true spirit of the mountains, we're giving winter a fabulous sendoff this weekend. Spring bike races have been postponed due to the relentless snowfall so skiers, boarders, rejoice once again! Aspen Mountain is open for skiing this weekend, May 28-30. We've still got a 71 inch base so let's get carving. And then - well, then it's really time for summer.
