2010's First One Person Museum Exhibition at Aspen Art Museum


This Thursday, July 29, the Aspen Art Museum presents Marlo Pascual, 2010 Jane and Marc Nathanson Distinguished Artist in Residence, in the museum's first one person exhibition of the year. Start the day with a free AAM Artist Breakfast at 9 a.m., while members enjoy a walk-through at 5 p.m., followed by a public reception at 6 with Pascual herself. The Best of Mountain Films, Coming to Aspen


MountainSummit: Mountainfilm in Aspen, presents a neighboring Mountain Town Treat...Mountainfilm in Telluride will bring its eclectic selection of documentaries, outdoor adventure films and social activism to the Wheeler Opera House, this August. For over 30 years, Mountainfilm Telluride has been the talk of the mountains and Aspen is looking forward to its return! Aspen Institute Presents the Environment Forum


Another groundbreaking program is coming to town, with the Aspen Institute's Environment Forum. Following the great thoughts of the Aspen Ideas Festival and a closer look at security with the Security Forum, the Aspen Institute and National Geographic Magazine now bring some of the world's more thoughtful experts to explore global environmental problems, and solutions. The public is welcome to attend a variety of sessions, including "Lessons from the Gulf, Rethinking the News and the Blue Holes of the Bahamas". The Aspen Environment Forum takes place July 25-28, in Aspen.
