The Kentucky Derby is being celebrated all over the valley today. The St. Regis in Aspen is hosting a party from 2-11pm with prizes for the best hat. In Basalt, the Riverside Grill's festivities run from 2-6pm with surround-sound, big screens, mint juleps and fried chicken. Get your southern on and join in the fun!
Sweet Pea seeds are available right now at the Aspen Times, BJ Adams's Aspen office and the Aspen Historical Society. The time-honored tradition of planting sweet pea seeds, dating back to Aspen's quieter years, is one of our cherished spring traditions. If you're in town, pick some up to take home and initiate the tradition in your own home!
