Susan G. Komen® Colorado Ride for the Cure in Snowmass Village

Do you enjoy biking in the mountains while supporting a worthy cause? If so, then the annual Komen Colorado Ride for the Cure® in Snowmass Village is for you.

Most people are familiar with the Race for the Cure, but Aspen has developed its own event, the Ride for the Cure, a 100-mile + “century ride” – with optional shorter segments of 64 and 37 miles for less ambitious riders who still want to take part.

The Ride for the Cure allows participants to enjoy the best cycling in Aspen and Snowmass, while also supporting the fight against breast cancer. Cyclists start the ride in Snowmass Village with incredible views of Mount Daly. The Ride course also winds up Maroon Creek Road to the spectacular 14,000’ peaks that make up the Maroon Bells. In addition, Castle Creek Road and the ghost town of Ashcroft are also part of the Race course.

You can register for the race online, or our helpful concierge staff at the Aspen Square Condominium Hotel can provide assistance. Upon registering, you set a fundraising goal, and then reach out to family and friends to help meet your goal.

If you meet your fundraising goal by Race day, you’ll receive a commemorative Race for the Cure jersey. You also have time post-Ride to meet your fundraising goal, in order to receive the commemorative bike jersey.

If you’re interested in participating in the Colorado Ride for the Cure in a different way, you can register to volunteer for pre-Ride day setup and to help out on the day of the ride. As a volunteer, you’ll assist with event logistics, and also have the opportunity to cheer the cyclists on as they ride to meet their fundraising goals.
