Playing tennis in Aspen is a year round activity, as there are an abundance of indoor and outdoor court options throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. However, the summer season is when the tennis scene comes alive with local USTA sanctioned tournaments, tennis clinics, and tennis match meet ups. During your next Aspen vacation, play tennis in Aspen at some of the most beautiful tennis courts in the country.

For tennis players in the Aspen area looking for a place to hit, there are a handful of options offering Har-Tru clay courts and hard surface courts both indoor and outdoor. Also, Aspen has both public and private tennis courts. Public Aspen tennis courts can be found at the Aspen Golf and Tennis Club and at the Aspen Recreation Center (ARC).

The Aspen Golf and Tennis Club has six clay tennis courts. Court rental fees are $24 per hour at the club, or players can reserve a court online for $22 per hour. A ball machine and a court can be rented for $29 per hour. The Aspen Golf and Tennis Club also has lockers and a restaurant, the Red Mountain Grill.

The Iselin Tennis Courts are located at the Aspen Recreation Center (ARC), a few miles up Maroon Creek Road just past the Aspen High School. The Iselin Tennis Courts have two hard surface courts, and players can purchase tennis balls at the ARC.

Located in Aspen's beautiful West End, the Aspen Meadows Tennis Center has four hard courts and two clay courts. Tennis players can reserve a court for $10 per person. The Aspen Meadows Tennis Center is truly one of the most beautiful locations to play tennis. Players can enjoy a lively match while watching the sunset over Aspen Mountain and the Independence Pass area.

Offering beautiful views of Aspen Mountain, the Aspen Club tennis courts are located just east of downtown Aspen. Though a private club, the Aspen Club tennis courts are available for rent to the public, and the court rental fee includes a ball machine rental. Players can also rent a tennis racquet at the Aspen Club.

A private, members-only club, the Maroon Creek Club has nine outdoor clay courts and four indoor clay courts located right across from Buttermilk Mountain. Another private tennis club, the Snowmass Club has thirteen tennis courts, including two indoor courts. Located mid valley in Basalt, the Roaring Fork Club is another members-only club with two outdoor clay courts.

For tennis players looking to polish their ground strokes and perfect their serve, tennis lessons are available at tennis clubs throughout Aspen, Snowmass, and the Roaring Fork Valley. Taking a lesson with a tennis pro can increase confidence on the court and significantly improve a player's game. Attend one of the many tennis clinics at the Aspen Golf and Tennis Club. From adult clinics focusing on the basics for beginners to cardio clinics offering a workout, the Aspen Golf and Tennis Club offers a wide variety of tennis clinics and lessons. They also provide tennis lessons for children ages 5 – 18.

Private lessons are available at the Aspen Meadows Tennis Center. Players can sign up for a one hour or half hour private tennis clinic. A tennis team or group of tennis buddies can arrange for a private adult group clinic at the Aspen Meadows as well. For the younger set, the Aspen Meadows provides kids' tennis clinics throughout the summer.
