With the increasing popularity of documentary filmmaking, we are lucky to have the opportunity to see some of the world's most honored documentaries right here in Aspen. The Monday Docs series at the Wheeler focuses on this particular art form and gives us a chance to see these thought-provoking films, examining important themes of our modern political and environmental lives. Tonight's film, Landfill Harmonic follows the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, Paraguay, a musical youth group of kids that live next to one of South America’s largest landfills. This unlikely orchestra plays music from instruments made entirely out of garbage. The movie begins at 7:30pm. Details at wheeleroperahouse.com.
