Food & Wine Magazine Classic – June 18 – 20
Aspen’s annual kick-off event of the summer, the Food & Wine Classic is one of the nation’s most prestigious epicurean events. Culinary stars share their passion for food, wine and entertaining and more than 300 vintners pour premium wines, complimented by specialty foods from around the world.
Theatre Aspen – June 16 – August 21
Aspen’s original repertory theater in the park presents engaging plays and musicals in the intimate Kaufman Theater Tent next to Rio Grande Park.
Jazz Aspen/Snowmass – June 25 – 30
The JAS June festival offers popular artists in concerts at the Benedict Music Tent and other venues around town.
Aspen Music Festival and School – July 1 – August 22
More than 350 concerts and musical events are presented during this renowned eight-week classical music festival. Daily events include orchestral concerts, recitals, fully-staged operas and family concerts. Programs take place at the Benedict Music Tent, Harris Concert Hall, the Wheeler Opera House and various venues throughout Aspen.
Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
It’s Independence Day infused with small town spirit. Approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation's birthday in true American style, with a parade, U.S. Air Force flyby, concerts and a spectacular fireworks display over Aspen Mountain.
Aspen Ideas Festival – July 5 – 11
This year’s festival theme is “Ideas in Action” and will include six days of fascinating discussion, seminars and conversations with leading writers, artists, scientists, political figures, business leaders and other influential thinkers. Presented by the Aspen Institute, it’s an extraordinary opportunity for exposure to the most important issues of our day.
Komen Aspen Race for the Cure – July 17
The 20th annual race begins at Rio Grande Park and winds through Aspen’s historic West End, down the scenic Rio Grande Trail and back to Rio Grande Park for a festive gathering of music, fun and fellowship.
Aspen Arts Festival – July 17 & 18
Aspen's spectacular mountain setting provides a wonderful “open art gallery” to over 170 exhibitors offering jewelry, pottery, sculpture, glass, ceramics, paintings, prints and more. The festival takes place in Wagner Park in the center of Aspen.
Komen Aspen Ride for the Cure – August 21
This “century” ride, 100 miles long, supports the Aspen Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and its promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever.
Motherlode Volleyball Classic – September 2 – 6
A Labor Day weekend tradition, the 38th annual tournament includes eighteen different divisions of play at seven sites and 700 teams from all over the country. Free admission, food and beverage concessions and music create a festive atmosphere all weekend long.
Jazz Aspen/Snowmass Labor Day Festival – September 3 – 5
JAS returns with a musical weekend full of outstanding concerts in Snowmass’s giant tent in the meadow.
