Aspen Ruggerfest Begins Today

If your idea of fun is to cheer on big, hairy guys in shorts and padded bonnets, Aspen Ruggerfest is the place to be from September 13-16! Now in its 45th season, Aspen Ruggerfest combines brawn, beer, excitement and great cheer as teams from all over the country compete for titles in each division. Not just a sport for the young, some of the most competitive matches occur amongst the “old boys” divisions of over 35, 45 and 55. And there is even a championship game dubbed “Ageless Wonders-Over 60s Match.” Games take place just a few blocks from Aspen Square in Wagner Park as well as Rio Grande Park.
