WINTER "X" IS OVER NOW; with the final day last Sunday. The annual winter games were a great success again. It's the grand event of winter - the ESPN Winter X-Games, in Aspen this past weekend from Thursday through Sunday. All events were staged at Aspen's Buttermilk terrain park area, and all competitions are always free for spectators. Events were aired live on ESPN and ABC and featured new competitions, a new superpipe, and enhanced coverage across ESPN networks. For the first time at Winter X Games, snowboarders and skiers competed in a giant 22-foot superpipe. Wow! Fifteen hours of live prime time programming on ESPN and ABC were offered along with re-broadcasts scheduled for the months ahead. What a great time to be visiting Aspen and Aspen Square!
