Thanksgiving Opening a Very Big Hit!

Amazing snow conditions greeted skiers on Aspen Mountain and Snowmass for the ski season opening on Thanksgiving Day. We have not seen so much snow for opening in many, many years. With these conditions as a starter, we are certainly in for a TERRIFIC ski and snowboard season! This weekend is also Women's World Cup Race Weekend, and an exciting time for us all. Ask about special early season lodging and lift rates and come enjoy all this new snow! Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to All.


Terrific snow for ski area opening

Major snow has fallen on the slopes of Aspen Mountain and Snowmass, and we are excited. Ski season starts on Thanksgiving Day, with terrific early season snow conditions. Temperatures are cold, and they are making snow like mad up on the slopes, helping out Mother Nature. Our ski season opening is the best in years. World Cup ski racing comes to Aspen Mountain this weekend, featuring the best women ski racers in the world. The weather patterns are promising for more snow this week, then sunshine for race days. What a terrific start to Aspen's ski and snowboard season!


Winter has arrived in Aspen

Colder temperatures and fresh snow have come to Aspen, including significant snow on the higher mountains and snow here in town. Winter is upon us and we are getting excited about ski season coming up! More snow is expected over the days ahead, and temperatures are cold. Aspen skiing opens on Thanksgiving day, and the excitement starts with Women's World Cup Ski Racing over Thanksgiving, then special events in early December and a busy schedule of activities and events all winter long. Winter X-Games return in late January following Winterskol, our annual celebration of winter in Aspen.
