The Aspen Airport is a busy place these days, with more flight and better prices. There are more direct flights this year to Chicago, Atlanta, Salt lake City, Los Angeles and San Francisco in addition to all those flights between Denver and Aspen. Aspen is served by United, Frontier and Delta, and the pricing is the best we have seen in years.

Aspen hosted another succesful Winter X-Games eent, and it was a fun weekend all around! The four days of competition on the snow brought a wild, crazy and fun time for all. Many events were televised at prime time on ESPN. Events will be televised aai oer the weks ahead, all spring long. Competitions were all held at Buttermilk, highlighted by the boardercross and skiercross courses and the GIANT 22 foot halfpipe. It is truly the most amazing sight to see, all lighted at night.
Straight from the slopes and into the imagination; it's Apres Ski for the Mind,with Aspen Writer's Foundation Winter Words, getting underway starting January 26. It's the 13th Annual Winter Words, with author talks and readings from the likes of Tobias Wolff, Anita Shreve and Erica Jong. Support one of Aspen's unique non-profits and sample that cultural side of town you're always hearing about. Winter Words features six talks, between January 26 and March 11.
