This month, Aspen Junior Hockey is hosting three weekends of non-stop competition and if you love hockey, it's a fun way to spend the weekend. Tomorrow, October 24, is Food Day - a national celebration that encourages everyone to eat healthy, affordable and sustain-ably produced food. Our children at the elementary and middle schools will enjoy a special spread that includes tasting samples of deliciously healthy items provided to the schools by Smoke BBQ, Rock Bottom Ranch, Avalanche Cheese Company and Crystal River Meats - all locally sourced and grown on the Western Slope. Makes you wish you were still in school. Yum!
Aspen is a dog-lover's town and this weekend, lovers of smart dogs should travel up to Missouri Heights to the Strang Ranch for a warm up event for the 2014 National Sheepdog Trials.
