The skis are put away and the snow is melting on the slopes of Aspen Mountain; and it's a great time to be planning your Aspen summer visit!

SKI SEASON ENDS APRIL 15

We received notification today that all of the remaining ski mountains - Aspen Mountain, Snowmass and Aspen Highlands - will close on Sunday, April 15. That means that Sunday is your last chance to ski in Aspen and Snowmass this year. We are sorry to see the ski season end, because it's always so much fun, but we're looking ahead to another gorgeous Aspen summer. See you on the slopes this weekend and don't forget to wear your old-school ski wear to the closing parties!

As spring skiing winds down, there are still plenty of fun things to do in Aspen. Next week the Aspen Writers' Foundation presents popular author Michael Chabon on April 9. It's a great opportunity to see a renowned writer in person discussing their work and answering questions.

Aspen Film presents its beloved Shortsfest from April 10-15. Local film buffs look forward to this event all year and the tremendous variety of short films offered from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. There are few places where you can see these films and Aspen is lucky to be one of them!
