Aspen Music Festival -- great music returns!

music fest1.jpg

The Aspen Music Festival brings two months of great classical music to Aspen for another season. The festival is underay now, with concerts and events just about every day through late August. The festival is one of our favorite events of the summer, with concerts and recitals held in the giant Music Tent across town, or at nearby Harris Hall, at the Wheeler and in smaller venues all over town. This is the time also when we see student musicians playing in town and on Paradise Bakery Corner. Ask our Aspen Square Concierge for details, ticket assistance and schedules.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA! It is always one of our favorite holiday weekends, with so many activities and special events it is hard to choose what to do! The weekend was a fun and active one. Jazz Aspen hosted singer Natalie Cole on Saturday night, and the Aspen Music Festival began its 8-week season as well. Sunday saw the July 4th parade wind through town starting at noon, and there was a terrific band concert at 7:30 pm that night -- FREE! Fireworks, always a favorite, exploded high over Aspen Mountain.
