RENOVATIONS
PLANNED FOR SPRING |
 |
The
Aspen Square courtyard and pool area will undergo a major
renovation this spring, starting in early April. Plans are
to replace the swimming pool, moving it slightly to the west;
we will have two new hot tubs, two really neat water features,
new decking and a fun fire pit and gathering area. Changes
will be made to the front of our conference room, and the
whole area will see new lighting and landscaping. NOTE:
Due to the construction, our pool and hot tub will be unavailable
starting April 9th until mid-June. Completion of all work
is planned by July 1.

ONE
NIGHT ONLY! |
 |
Aspen
Stage presents the sketch comedy "Parallel Lives" in
a return engagement of one show only on Saturday, April 14th
at the Wheeler Opera House. The two-person show features
local actors Wendy Perkins and Peggy Mundinger performing
in the roles of 27 offbeat characters pondering religion,
sex, relationships and ethnicity. The show, written by Mo
Gaffney and Kathy Najimy, was an Off-Broadway smash in the
'80s. After local actor Peggy Mundinger saw the show, she
approached director Brad Moore about the possibility of staging
a local production, and it has been such a hit that this
is its third production! Plus, admission is free!

Featuring
current and veteran members of The Crystal Palace's esteemed
corps of musical theatre voices, The Broadway Players will
perform their annual revue on April 19th and 20th. Spearheaded
by the ever-ebullient Jeannie Walla, this year's theme is "The
Broadway Players Go Hollywood," so fans of the Great
White Way and the Silver Screen can look forward to an evening
chock-full of songs that cover the spectrum from Jimmy Cagney's "I'm
A Yankee Doodle Dandy" to Midnight Cowboy's "Everybody's
Talking At Me" to Titanic's "My Heart Will Go On." Both
performances will be at 7:00 pm at the Wheeler Opera House,
and, as always, they are free and open to the public!
