    Aspen has enjoyed a wonderful summer season, with delightful weather, good rainfall to make all the wild flowers come out, and so much to do in town! Our Aspen Square guests have taken part in all the activities of summer, and so many of these fun events are still going on. The Aspen Music Festival closed for the season this past weekend, but other activities and cultural events continue. Come see us and take advantage of great late-August rates and enjoy all that the Rocky Mountains have to offer in the summer months!

    ASPEN & SNOWMASS IN FALL

    Aspen and Snowmass in Fall: There's no better place to enjoy the colorful magnificence of the Rocky Mountains. Vibrant hues serve as a gorgeous backdrop to a multitude of events celebrating the leaves turning glorious shades of yellow and orange.

    Share numerous natural splendors while enjoying all the festivals and activities in celebration of this special time of year.

    AIR CONDITIONING A BIG HIT!

    Last year, Aspen Square installed central air conditioning in all accommodations. With the warm weather all over the Midwest and East this summer, and even here I Colorado, the air conditioning was most appreciated by all!     MOTHERLODE VOLLEYBALL CLASSIC

    The 33rd Annual MotherLode Volleyball Classic commences over Labor Day Weekend, September 1-5. This year's event may be the most exciting of all of the 33 years combined! Many of the Pros will travel to Aspen for the greatest volleyball party of the year.

    Over 700 teams come from all over the country to compete, including beach professionals, legends of the game, USA National Team members, and top amateurs. Spectator admission is FREE - with food & beverage concessions, music, and a full "volley-fair."
    JAZZ ASPEN/SNOWMASS RETURNS OVER LABOR DAY

    The 2005 Jazz Aspen Snowmass (JAS) Labor Day Festival presented by Janus will take place at Snowmass Town Park September 1-5. Celebrating their 15th season this year, JAS brings you an exciting lineup of the best in contemporary music. This season's festival, extended to five days, will include headline performances from Widespread Panic for two nights, a Loggins & Messina Reunion, Willie Nelson, and many more acts to be announced. The Labor Day Festival includes four full days of open air music featuring rock, funk, blues, world, soul, R&B, reggae and more daily. In addition to the world class acts performing on the main stage daily, the JAS Village hums with an international bazaar of exotic food & drink, funky crafts, side stage performances, drumming circles and more.

    ASPEN/SNOWMASS RIDE FOR THE CURE
    Participate in the 2nd Annual Aspen/Snowmass Ride for the Cure on September 10 from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The race is the only century (100 mile) ride in the country exclusively dedicated to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. The 100 mile route takes the best rides in Aspen and combines them in to one amazing ride through the vibrant fall foliage of the Rocky Mountains while raising funds to benefit the Aspen Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. If you aren't up for riding 100 miles, just go out and ride as far as you can.
    RUGBY IN ASPEN

    The seven time National Champions "Gentlemen of Aspen" Rugby Club hosts a weekend packed with rugby excitement at the 39th Annual Ruggerfest, September 15 - 18. Come see some of the best teams battle for the Ruggerfest title and bragging rights on the famed rugby fields in the world-renowned resort of Aspen. The event is a world class tournament that attracts nearly 50 teams from all over the continental United States, Hawaii, the southern Hemisphere and Europe. Support the Gentlemen of Aspen in an action packed battle to regain the title of Ruggerfest Champion in the Men's open division and Masters 35+ Divisions.

    THE GOLDEN LEAF CLASSIC

    On September 17th and 18th, more than 500 athletes specializing in mountain biking and trail running will compete in The Golden Leaf Classic, which is a mountain bike race on Saturday and a trail run/mini-marathon on Sunday. Chosen by Trail Runner magazine as one of "America's 14 most scenic races," this event draws athletes from Colorado and across the country.

    ASPEN FILMFEST IN THE FALL

    With an emphasis on independent productions from around the world, Aspen Filmfest's fall festival champions filmmaking at its finest. Intimate in scale and festive in tone, the festival hosts a diverse array of features, documentaries, tributes, seminars, and other special events. From honoring established directors to heralding new talent, a great film program and the glorious autumn leaves have been bringing filmmakers and film lovers together for five fun-filled days for almost 30 years. Plan to see some of the best films during the festival, which runs September 28 - October 2.

    ASPEN GOES BAZAAR

    With the blush of changing foliage and the crisp fall air sweeping in, it is time again for Aspen to go Bazaar! Aspen Goes Bazaar, September 29 - October 3, is the perfect weekend retreat to catch a glimpse of the colors and to see the town loosen up and get funky with some great Aspen events. From the roving street performers and spectacular culinary exhibitors to a gallery walk and kids carnival, Aspen will have a bazaar-feel across town with retail stores, restaurants and businesses peddling their wares on the malls, staying open late and joining in the excitement.

    SKI AND SNOWBOARD SEASON IS JUST AHEAD!
