DRIVE
OVER INDEPENDENCE PASS
|
 |
|

Summertime
in Aspen offers so many wonderful activities for all to enjoy.
Perhaps taking a scenic drive over Independence Pass should be
put on your "must do" vacation plans. With the great
weather that we've been having, you can't beat the blue skies
over the Continental Divide.
The
pass is only open for a limited part of the year, so take advantage
of this
summertime opportunity. Follow Hwy 82 just out of downtown aspen,
and make your way along some of the most scenic views in Colorado.
Pack a picnic lunch, take your camera, and maybe even a swimsuit
if you're up for a mountain creek swim.

MOTHERLODE VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT |
 |

This year
the Motherlode is hosting it's 32nd annual Beach Volleyball tournament
over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2nd thru the 6th. We’ve seen
the ‘MotherLode’ grow from a 14 team one-day barbecue
to a five-day festival with around 700 teams from all over the United
States and North America. If you're not playing, you're welcome
to come watch the fun and partake in some local barbeque. This is
a great end-of-the-season celebration of the sport of beach volleyball;
a great co-mingling of friends from all over the United States;
and, the best damn volleyball party in the land.
