Aspen always has special events on the calendar, and December is a particularly busy month! Here's a few highlighted events for early December:

Dec 10-11: Performance of Handel’s Messiah by the Aspen Choral Arts Society
    Dec 11:
Opening of Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands
Dec 18: Aspen’s Bud Hi-Fi Series Concert, Gondola Plaza
Dec 21-23: Aspen Theater live performance of It’s a Wonderful Life

    TO THE EDGE AND BACK!

The General Manager’s son and Olympic Snowboarder, Chris, has written a book and it is now out and available for sale! It’s a fun story of Chris and the early days of snowboarding, all about his racing and his two Winter Olympic competitions – and of course his Bronze Medal – and his successful liver transplant. All the details are there along with some humor, some profound times and a bit of irreverence. After all, he is a snowboarder! The book is available through Amazon.com.

To the Edge and Back is a must-read for the millions of people in the organ donor community as well as all Americans looking for a story of an athlete who represents the best of the human spirit.

    TAKAH SUSHI HAS NEW LOCATION

Aspen’s most established sushi restaurant has a new home! Takah Sushi, still owned and operated by Casey Coffman, opens its doors in its new location on December 1st. Located in the Golden Horn building at the corner of the Cooper and Mill Street Malls, the restaurant will feature more seats, a larger sushi bar and a tatami room. All of the standard sushi items will still be available, as well as Takah Sushi’s signature dish, Atomic Shrimp…if you haven’t had this yet, you are truly missing out!
