IT
WAS A SNOWY SUNDAY...
The mountains around Aspen received a good snowfall this
past weekend, with several inches reported on top on
Sunday. Even the lower slopes are white with snow. Can
winter be far off? Come on, ski season!
As temps drop in November, the snow will start to build
up. Most of the fall leaf color is gone now, but wow
-- it was a magnificent leaf season, and we got terrific
pictures! The photo below is the bottom of Little Nell,
and the Gondola Building across the street from Aspen
Square. Now, winter is on the way…

CUP RACING RETURNS |

those who like Fast Women, the weekend of December 9 - 11 is
the time to be here! Women’s World Cup ski racing returns
to Aspen and Aspen Mountain including Slalom, Giant Slalom
and Super G events. The best women ski racers in the world
will be here, and it will be fun! In addition to racing on
the mountain, there will be a whole schedule of music, events
and fun in Aspen to celebrate the start of the World Cup season.

REMODELING
AT ASPEN SQUARE! |

We are always working to make things better at Aspen Square! This
fall, several condominiums were totally remodeled,
and other updating work was done in several
more. The interior hallways of our studio building
have been totally remodeled, and they look
terrific! Our condominiums look great, and
we are ready to welcome you this winter!

AN OLYMPIC YEAR ! |

Yes
it is, and our own Olympic Racer, Chris Klug (son of
General Manager Warren Klug) is already racing and
getting ready to compete in Turino Italy in February.
He has a full schedule of races this winter, including
qualifiers for the US Olympic team, and he is ready!
His health is good, he is riding better and more confidently
than ever before, and it should be a great season for
Chris. Check out his progress on his Web site, chrisklug.com. We
are ready to ring those cow bells and cheer him on!

VIDEO and ART AWARDS |

26th at the Wheeler Opera House
This exciting and outrageous event will bridge the gap
between what you know and what you think you know about
today's core winter sports culture. Talented athletes
are invited to independently create fresh multimedia
presentations using music, video, photography and other
mediums to interpret this year s lifestyle theme: Technology.
Local participants include skiers Peter Olenick, Chris
Davenport, Frank Shine & Kiffor Berg and snowboarders
Doran Laybourn, Mitch Stout, Jessie Wright, Avery Karas,
Wyatt Stasinos and Justin Bartle. $3,500 in prize money
will be awarded. In partnership with the Aspen Art Museum,
the NEPSA Awards also feature the Technoactive art exhibit
with submissions displayed in the lobby of the Wheeler.
Pieces are submitted by some of the valley s best artists
competing for $1,500 in prize money. Last year's event
sold out so get

THANKSJIBBING
CELEBRATION IN ASPEN |

Thanksjibbing
will throw the start of the winter season into
high gear,
November 25-26, 2005
with art, music and a new school jib event. The
third annual NEPSA Awards on Friday evening will
feature multimedia presentations created by young
athletes combining music, video and photography
to expose their ever-changing lifestyles. Thanksjibbing,
held on Saturday evening, will provide cutting
edge rails, boxes and jib features at the base
of
Aspen
Mountain
. This event will introduce our team of
athletes, Team Aspen/Snowmass who are leaders
in their respective disciplines. Live
music to follow with the first installment of
the Hi-Fi concert series. |

CIRQUE
D' ASPEN |

An extraordinary circus event including
sixteen international performers that have come together
to amaze and inspire Aspen for three shows only. The Aspen
Youth Center is bringing an incredible show to the Roaring
Fork community for a fundraiser to benefit our local kids. Cirque
d’ Aspen will be a dazzling Cirque-esque performance
by internationally acclaimed artists. Sixteen performers
from across the world are coming together for this special
show, a show for the entire family!
