By now you're probably in full Olympic withdrawal - we, too. But right here, right now in Aspen, the Adaptive World Cup is underway. It's the last stop before the Paralympics, next week in Whistler, B.C. Downhill and Super G and Super G combined still to come, as some 130 athletes from 13 countries test their meddle at Tiehack on Buttermilk Mountain. Come out and watch the action live! Last week, there just wasn't enough coverage but this weekend; look out. The 2010 Colorado Freeride Championships come to Snowmass, with a vengeance! Cliff-huckers and watchers of cliff-hucking, rejoice...over 100 competitors, men and women, skiers and snowboarders, take to the powder and the big air over the plentiful jumps and extreme terrain on both Hanging Valley Wall and Burnside Cliffs. Slopeside viewing and high-sports action, guaranteed. www.aspensnowmass.com
With 15-17 new inches of snow over the past few days and comfortable temperatures, the skiing has been and is phenomenal!
Aspen Mountain and Snowmass have been skiing really well! The snow has softened up all the bump runs and the groomers have been soft and smooth. The Dumps at Aspen Mountain have been skiing great and runs off of Big Burn and Sheer Bliss at Snowmass have been a lot of fun!
The skiing is just going to keep getting better with some good size snowfalls predicted over the coming days! Still plenty of skiing left to be done this season.
