In addition to something interesting and noteworthy happening on any given summer evening, this week brings some key performers, so mark your calendars. Keb' Mo', singer/songwriter and bluesman extraordinaire, comes to the BellyUp this Wednesday for an acoustic, one-man show. Keb', his guitar and his surround sound smile make for an always magical night of music. Then, this Thursday, from Houma, Louisiana, it's Tab Benoit. Benoit hits Fanny Hill for an evening of soulful, rowdy rock and blues, with his down-and-out Southern guitar riffs and nitty gritty lyrics.
This Thursday, July 29, the Aspen Art Museum presents Marlo Pascual, 2010 Jane and Marc Nathanson Distinguished Artist in Residence, in the museum's first one person exhibition of the year. Start the day with a free AAM Artist Breakfast at 9 a.m., while members enjoy a walk-through at 5 p.m., followed by a public reception at 6 with Pascual herself. MountainSummit: Mountainfilm in Aspen, presents a neighboring Mountain Town Treat...Mountainfilm in Telluride will bring its eclectic selection of documentaries, outdoor adventure films and social activism to the Wheeler Opera House, this August. For over 30 years, Mountainfilm Telluride has been the talk of the mountains and Aspen is looking forward to its return!
