World Snow Polo Championships

Once again Aspen plays host to the World Snow Polo Championships, December 15-16. Snow polo was first introduced in 1985 and it's a thrilling version of the game played on a snow-packed arena. The only snow polo competitions in the US are played in Aspen, so this is your only chance to experience this unique sport. This year's venue is Marolt Park, with games both days from 11am to 3pm. for details, visit www.worldsnowpolo.com.

Thursday, December 13, Alpine Bank and the Aspen High School Booster Club is hosting a Holiday Bazaar from 3pm-5:30pm. Enjoy plenty of holiday cheer and shop for "Skier Gear" at the same time. Proceeds go towards supporting the AHS sports teams. Look for the ad in the Aspen Times - if you bring the ad with you, you'll receive a gift when purchasing your AHS attire. Cheers!

Christmas Is Coming And So Is Handel's Messiah

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Aspen with holiday decorations festooning every lamp post and fir tree around Aspen Square. One of Aspen's most popular holiday traditions, the annual Messiah performances, will take place next weekend at St. Mary's Church on Main Street. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights, December 14 and 15, at 7:30 pm. Come and sing along with your friends and neighbors in the chorus and enjoy some tuneful holiday cheer!
