Aspen's annual salute to winter, Winterskol, begins Thursday January 9. Local favorite events like Wintersculpt, sponsored by Anderson Ranch, Soupskol and the Canine Fashion Show add to the celebratory atmosphere. This year the Mad Hatter's Ball will return to the Hotel Jerome on Thursday. Crazy hats are encouraged, the more outlandish the better! In the meantime, all other lifts on Aspen Mountain are open and provide access to the mountain. Oh, and we got new snow last night!
