The Sopris Mountain Ranch Polo Tournament, benefiting Perfect Unions Animal Rescue and C.A.R.E, takes place July 1 from 11am to 1pm at 3706 W. Sopris Creek Road in Basalt. The event is free to the public and everyone is encouraged to bring coolers and lawn chairs for watching the players battle it out for the Sopris Cup. Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome. Saturday June 30, kids from Glenwood Springs to Aspen will celebrate Lemonade Day. This free, fun program is presented by the Buddy Program and aims to teach kids of all ages, from grades K-12, how to own and operate their own business - a lemonade stand!
