Free Concerts have hit Snowmass

It's the locals' favorite part of summer nights. Take the bus from downtown Aspen, free of charge, and thoroughly enjoy an evening of music in the mountains. Thursdays at 6 p.m., it's the Snowmass Summer of Free Music - this week, featuring New Orlean's legend Walter Wolfman Washington. 2nd Annual Aspen Plein Air Celebration, July 5-10

Catch artists in their natural habitat, painting on the cobblestone streets, across courtyards and in the meadows around town. It's the 2nd Annual Aspen Plein Air Festival, where artists paint in the moment! Don't miss the Quick Draw this Friday the 8th, at 4:30 p.m. on the Mill Street Mall; artists paint all they can in 90 minutes and then, the whistle blows. The week's masterpieces are available for sale at Saturday and Sunday's Plein Air Art Sale.


Free Films at the Future Art Museum, Tonight!

Tonight at 8:30, on South Spring and East Hyman, enjoy three free film screenings to celebrate the future home of Aspen Art Museum. You can even bike to the showings and catch the sound outdoors through FM transmitter.
