Aspen Square Daily News
After yesterday's major storm, Aspen Mountain is sporting 14" of beautiful new powder and the skies are a deep, Colorado blue. The temperatures are very cold for the next few days - the better to hold the snow in place for your visit? Here's a look at our courtyard at about 10am this morning.
A major snowstorm dropped up to 18 inches of new snow on the mountains of Aspen over the past days, and conditions are just the best. Wednesday was an epic Powder Day, and the skiing was absolutely amazing. More snow is expected for another day, then blue skies will return for more terrific skiing and snowboarding. Our snow is excellent and lodging rates are down, so come enjoy some turns with us and save this early December!
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for our surrounding Elk Mountains and we're excited. The warning runs until early Thursday, so we're hoping for our first big snowfall - perhaps as much as a foot or more. Unlike other parts of the country, we happily embrace every snowfall, because we love to play in the snow - the deeper the better! Stay tuned for updates and check out our webcams tomorrow to see how we're doing.
