Aspen Square Daily News
Although it's still early in the month, our surrounding mountains have received nearly three feet of snow! Members of our staff have already started hiking up to ski on the nearby slopes. We even have stashes of snow in town. It's a great start to the coming winter season and the perfect time to plan your next ski vacation and visit to Aspen Square. Stay tuned for frequent weather reports as we approach Thanksgiving and the beginning of ski season 2013-14.
The 7th annual Movember begins today, November 2, with an opening party at the Sky Hotel. Men are asked to attend the party clean-shaven and then grow their mustaches during the month of November. The month-long event is a fun way to raise awareness and money for male-related cancers, as men grow their mustaches in support of the cause. The party gets started tonight at 6pm, and will include live music, special drinks and Movember apparel on sale. Additional events will take place at local bars and restaurants throughout the month.
A quick look at today's event calendar offers multiple ways to celebrate our favorite off season event, Halloween. You can enjoy Boo! Bash 2013 at the ARC this afternoon, a "Walk with the Dead" tour through Aspen's first burial ground at 5:30 or enjoy a Halloween night party with This Must Be The Band at Belly Up. So get your costume and makeup on and join in the fun!
