Aspen Square is proud to once again be hosting the women of the US Ski Team as the FIS World Cup races take place on Aspen Mountain. Today, visitors to Aspen have a chance to take a wax room tour, collect autographs from the US Ski Team members and enjoy a kick-off party and watch the bib draw from 5:30-7:30. And that's just the first day!
The Wheeler Opera House is holding a "fire sale" to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the fires of 1912 which nearly destroyed the building. On November 21 at 12:19 pm the doors will close for 19 minutes and 12 seconds. If you're inside the building during that time, you can purchase tickets for eight of the upcoming winter events, including Shawn Colvin and the Temptations, for $10 off the regular price! We can't see Red Mountain from the lobby windows today, which is a sure sign that the clouds are hanging low over our town!
