A glance at this week's calendar gives us a snapshot of summer in Aspen, showing the diversity of events and activities our guests at Aspen Square enjoy so much. Today the Aspen Ice Garden is hosting the Aspen Antiques, Jewelry and Fine Arts Fair from 10am to 6pm. The Aspen Music Festival is presenting multiple events daily, Theatre Aspen is launching its children's play "How I Became a Pirate" and Komen Aspen is running its annual Race for The Cure on Saturday, July 14. And that's just the start. Did we mention that the weather is absolutely perfect?

Summer in Aspen Provides Activities for All

For guests to Aspen and Aspen Square, the summer offers a limitless banquet of activities to enjoy. A ride on the Aspen Mountain Gondola is a must for its memorable panoramic views of the surrounding Elk Mountains and Independence Pass. And once you're on top of the mountain, there is plenty to do from disc golf to Saturday Classical Music (June 30-August 11)and Bluegrass Sundays (June 17-September 2) to hiking and snacking at the Sundeck. And if you're lucky, you might get to watch one of the many weddings that take place every weekend, too!

Happy 4th of July!

Runners took off next to Aspen Square this morning at 8am, participating in Boogie's annual Buddy 5 race - the start of our festive 4th of July celebration. With the community parade at noon, picnics in parks all over town, the free band concert at the Music Tent and dancing in the streets this evening, it's a great day to be in Aspen and to enjoy our small town's community atmosphere. We wish you were here with us!
