Author Presentation with Linda Lafferty

Local author Linda Lafferty will be the featured writer at an Author Presentation at the Carbondale Branch Library at 3pm today. Lafferty, formerly a Carbondale school teacher, is now a best-selling author. Her books include "The Bloodletter's Daughter" and most recently, "House of Bathory" which takes place partially in Carbondale. For additional details, call (970) 963-2889.


5 Point Film Festival

For lovers of adventure films and the outdoors, you can't find a more interesting film festival than this weekend's 5 Point Film Festival. Beginning tomorrow, April 24 and running until April 27, the film screenings will take place at various venues in Carbondale. Included in the festival is the documentary "Dam-Nation" about the changing attitudes towards large dam projects and their effects on river ecosystems and health. Community Egg Hunt on Sunday

If you are visiting Aspen with young children, don't miss the Community Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 20 at the Yellow Brick Park, in Aspen's West End neighborhood.
