While our community is known for its adult Halloween celebrations and festive interpretations of All Hallow's Eve, there are a slew of activities and Halloween fun to be had throughout the month, for the whole family. On Halloween itself, the Red Brick Center for the Arts presents the Second Annual Halloween Boo Bash Party, from 2-5 pm. Featuring clowns (always a scary phenomenon!), face painting, tricks, tons of treats and a Haunted House, as well as costume contests, professional makeup, a Halloween shop and food for all.
This Saturday, October 16, is the final Saturday Market of the season. And what a season it was...one more chance to enjoy the best of Colorado farms and fields, with live music, massage and all the unique crafts from around the state. Come one, come all, this Saturday as we wrap up Aspen's Saturday Market in the downtown core.
The nation comes to Aspen this fall, with a sampling of national art from art venues around the country. The Aspen Art Museum brings works from the Brooklyn Museum and MoMa PSI, Los Angeles' Hammer Museum and Minneapolis' Walker Art Center. Rain or shine, on a sunny fall day or a colder, pre-winter afternoon - treat yourself to an outing at the Aspen Art Museum. For more info on current exhibits and art to come, www.aspenartmuseum.org.
