When we take a break from skiing and boarding, Aspen offers plenty of off-slope activity, especially for lovers of cultural events. This Thursday, February 6, the Aspen Music Festival is presenting another in its series of video presentations, The Met: Live in HD. This week's showing at 5:30pm is of the satirical opera "The Nose" by Shostakovich. These performances give us a chance to see some of the most sought-after productions in New York, without leaving the comfort of our little town. For details visit www.wheeleroperahouse.com.
In the biggest storm of the season (so far), Aspen Mountain has been blanketed in 24" of fresh snow and it's still snowing. The winter storm warning has been extended until 5am tomorrow and we won't know what our storm totals until then. The buses are packed with skiers and the kids have a snow day. As you can see, staff at Aspen Square are as excited as everyone else is!
Happily for Broncos fans who will be busy on Sunday night, Theater Masters will be presenting three performances of their highly popular "Take Ten - An evening of 10 minute plays."
