If you've been considering the purchase of a piano, this weekend you can browse the ongoing Aspen Festival Piano Sale at the Benedict Music Tent. Sponsored by Schmitt Music, the sale includes more than 150 Steinway & Sons and Boston pianos that were used during the recently completed season of the Aspen Music Festival and School. A portion of the proceeds of the sale, which runs through tomorrow, August 24, will benefit the Music Festival. For details, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (303) 947-1543.
Even though some of our annual events have ended for the summer, there's still one more chance to see the Snowmass Rodeo tonight. Rain or shine, the rodeo takes place at the rodeo grounds beginning with a BBQ at 5pm. The rodeo begins at 7pm. It's a taste of the old west, Snowmass-style. For details visit www.snowmassrodeo.org.
Classical music lovers have one more weekend to enjoy concerts at the Aspen Music Festival and School. Tonight the Aspen Chamber Symphony plays at 6pm in the Benedict Music Tent.
