For an intimate look at the beauty of our area from two longtime locals, visit Explore Booksellers on Main Street tonight from 5-6pm. Former Aspen mayor Bill Sterling will lead a discussion with writer Paul Anderson and well-known photographer David Hiser about their new book "High Road to Aspen." A book-signing by the collaborators will take place after the discussion.
When your work day is over, head down Highway 82 to the charming little town of Basalt for tonight's Live After Five music in Lions Park in the heart of Basalt. Fifty 50 will play from 5:30-8pm and the many tasty restaurants in the area will be open for happy visitors. The event is BYOB. Live After Five is being presented by Alpine Bank.
The Aspen Jewish Congregation invites everyone to join them in Wagner Park (near McDonalds) for coffee and bagels tomorrow, Sunday July 27, from 10am to 12pm. It's a fun way to meet old friends and enjoy the outdoors and a "schmear" - what's not to like? For more details about this weekly getogether, visit www.jewishaspen.com or call (970) 925-8245.
