June 8 and 9, it's another flavorful weekend of spicy food, beer and music. The 2012 Snowmass Chili and Brewfest comes to Fanny Hill, featuring a new 3-hour beer tasting, chili sampling of tastes from all over Colorado, and live music Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.
The weekend's music lineup includes Gogo Bordello, Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars, The Congress and...the return of Galactic!
The early summer Chili and Brewfest has become one of our area's primary seasonal festivals, so get your tickets early and make it a full weekend on the hill.
This Saturday, while driving around the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley countryside, head to the stunning scenery of the Crystal River Valley and explore the Historic Redstone Castle tour. Built in 1900, the ornate Redstone Castle was John Cleveland Osgood's chef d'oeuvre, featuring original furnishings, Tiffany decor and historic paneling.
And listen closely to your tour guide...spirits of the olden times may be accompanying you on your tour, as well.
It's almost here! With Independence Pass already wide open, town is filling up with the first of the season's sight-seers. The Gondola starts running this weekend, restaurants and bars are kicking off the summer and music and movies are playing around town.
And outside, local bikers, hikers and climbers are flocking up the mountains and in and around backyard trails, as late spring and early summer get into the swing of things.
