As we reach the middle of May, our trees and bushes are leafing out rapidly. What better way to celebrate our local flora than to participate in Arbor Day, this Saturday May 19? Paepcke Park is the place to be from 10am to 2pm, where you can chow down on free hotdogs and drinks, while strolling informational booths on arbor-y topics like tree planting and care, community forest updates, and wildfire prevention. There will be fun games for kids and free tree giveaways for people who present proof of residency (bring a utility bill or water bill with your address on it).
