Olympic Race Day for Aspen Square's Chris Klug at Cypress Mountain just outside of Vancouver was an exciting one. The day was cold and wet, with rain that fell off and on all day long. It was tough on spectators, but there were still smiles all around. The fog up on the race course made it difficult for both spectators and racers. Still, it was a great day for Olympic racing.
After a day of fresh snow then sunshine, more snow came to the mountains of Aspen and more is on the way. Skiing as just the best.
AND AT THE OLYMPICS...Aspen Square is getting ready for Chris Klug's big race at Vancouver on Saturday. Family and friends are there to cheer him on. Chris is the son of Aspen Square GM Warren Klug and we have bee following Chris this winter all the way to the US Olympic Team. Go fast, Chris!
WOW - over three feet of snow in the last week! We had a weekend of amazing snow again. Monday saw more snow still. Tuesday, the sunshine returned for absolutely fabulous skiing and boarding. Great powder days are here!
Condtions have been excellent on the four mountains of Aspen, and skiing and snowboarding are the best. More fresh snow is on the way later this week. The Aspen Snow Maching keeps on cranking! In the meantime, enjoy the fresh snow. Fun days ahead!
