Memorial Day Weekend

Rafting 5-04.jpg

The "unofficial" start to the summer season has come and gone, and we enjoyed wonderful weather and fun early-summer activities. We still have visible snow up high on the slopes above Aspen, and a ride up to the top of Aspen Mountain will see even more snow up high. What a fun time to visi1! Guests enjoyed whitewater rafting, or hiking and biking in the hills around Aspen; and taing the gondola ride up to the top of Aspen Mountain and have lunch at the Sundeck Restaurant. Lodging rates were still "off season" at Aspen Square, starting at just $125 nightly, so the savings were big.

A great holiday weekend

18 inches of new snow for our last ski weekend

Snow on sloopes.jpg

Aspen Mountain has recorded 18 inches of fresh snow in the last two days, providing amazing conditions for our very last weekend of skiing! Yes, 18 inches as of Saturday's report. The regular ski season is over now, but Aspen Mountain had so much snow up high that the Aspen Skiing Co decided to open back up for two more "bonus Weekends" for locals and diehard skiers. Last weekend saw sunshine, warm temps and fun spring skiing; and we have one more weekend of skiing and boarding ahead.
