Takacs Quartet Tonight


Before the 4th of July dawns tomorrow, visitors to Aspen can take a culture break tonight at the Aspen Music Festival. The world-renowned Takacs Quartet, will present a concert of string quartet music in Harris Hall at 8pm. The quartet-in-residence at the University of Colorado at Boulder, the quartet has won many of the music world's most prestigious chamber music awards. Their program includes Samuel Barber's beloved Adagio for Strings and Beethoven's Op. 132 in A minor. For details, visit

Aspen Music Festival and School Opens Tomorrow


Classical music lovers who have been waiting nine months for the music to return, are rejoicing with the opening of this year's Aspen Music Festival tomorrow night, June 26.
