ESPN's Winter X Games return next week, from January 23 - 26. All events are free and take place at Buttermilk, featuring the super half-pipe, and the slope-style course and snowmobile courses. The Ski Company has been moving huge piles of snow around for the past few weeks, building the features and preparing for the exciting competitions ahead. You can visit Aspen and watch the athletes live, or check out ESPN's prime-time coverage to see summaries the events. In addition to the competition on snow, there will be concerts and plenty of fun in Aspen during the X Games weekend.

Canine Fashion Show, Torchlight Descent and Fireworks Today!

The Winterskol schedule is packed today, so when you take a break from playing in our fresh snow, you might want to run over to Wagner Park for the hilarious Canine Fashion Show at 1pm (how can their owners do this to these pooches?). And, don't miss the torchlight descent on the Little Nell run at 8pm, followed by the Winterskol Fireworks extravaganza over Aspen Mountain - it's the iconic event of Winterskol!

Congratulations Warren!

Winterskol kicked off last night with the Aspen Chamber's annual dinner and awards ceremony at the St. Regis. And guess who received the 2014 Molly Campbell Community Service Award? None other than our own general manager, Warren Klug! The award is presented annually to an Aspen resident who has made "an outstanding and enduring contribution to the community through service and volunteerism." Here's a picture of Warren with his award this morning. Congratulations Warren!
