OK, you're right - traditionally this weekend's Food & Wine Festival in Aspen is summer's big kick off. But if you still long to strap on your skis or a snowboard, this weekend you can ski, drink wine at the Festival and really make an occasion of it! The Aspen Skiing Company just announced that they will open the top of Aspen Mountain for skiing on Saturday and Sunday for one last weekend. With nearly 3 feet of snow still gracing the top of the mountain, it would be a shame for it to go to waste. The Silver Queen Gondola will be running between 9am and 4pm both days, so don't miss it. And as an extra benefit, the first Bluegrass Sunday concert will take place at the Sundeck. Only in Aspen....
