If you enjoy getting a sneak peek ahead of the crowd and you love great films, this week's Academy Screenings is for you. Now in its 29th year, the Academy Screenings were originally planned for members of the film community who flocked to Aspen during the holiday season. But, for years, this festival has been a highlight of film-loving Aspenites - no fame required to get in. Films are being screened in-person at the Wheeler Opera House and the Isis Theater, and are being shown only once. So, get online and check out the film offerings and ticket availability. The Academy Screenings run through Thursday, December 16. Attendees are required to show proof of full vaccination, or a negative Covid test within 72 hours, to enter the venues.
