About a year ago, Theatre Aspen put out a request for one-person plays that were still in development. A year later, the 86 entries were narrowed to four plays which were chosen for presentation in the theater company's inaugural performances of "Solo Flights" - a festival of one-person plays taking place from September 18-21. The festival kicks off Wednesday night, September 18, with the actor Beau Bridges in Coach: An Evening with John Wooden, written by John Wilder. The other plays presented this week will be Dr. Glas, What We Leave Behind, and When It's You. Each play will be presented more than once during the festival, so check here for the complete schedule. All plays will be presented in Theatre Aspen's Hurst Theater in Rio Grande Park.
