Thursday night, October 19, MountainFilm in Aspen will present the documentary "No Man's Land" at the Wheeler Opera House. This documentary examines the occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge by heavily-armed protestors last year. Perhaps the most surprising insight provided by the documentary is the "heady sense of purpose appropriated by the occupiers in championing the cause of liberty" even though it was difficult to discern what exactly the grievances were. A militia member concludes that the occupation was "basically some pissed-off people trying to get their voices heard." The film will be shown at 6:30pm, and tickets can be purchased at aspenshowtix.com
