The 27th annual Ducky Derby takes place tomorrow, August 11, in Rio Grande Park. The Ducky Derby is put on by the Aspen Rotary Club, and it is the club's biggest annual fundraiser, which uses the funds to give out grants for Rotary projects and scholarships to local high school students. The all-day event includes live music, a beer garden, skateboard jam and bounce house for the kiddies. About 10,000 ducks will be dropped in the Roaring Fork River at No Problem Bridge and one of the lucky winners will go home with a $10,000 cash prize. The Derby is a really fun day for the whole family and supports a great cause. Check it out tomorrow from 10:30 am - the ducks will drop into the river at 2:18pm. You still have time to purchase a duck and who knows, maybe you'll win!
