Ski Opening Day at Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk

Aspen Snowmass is home to four mountains; Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, and Buttermilk. Traditionally, Aspen Mountain and Snowmass open at Thanksgiving with Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk opening in December. 

This year Aspen Highlands is scheduled to open on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, and Buttermilk on Saturday, December 17th, 2022. Take advantage of these openings to catch the first tracks in the Highland Bowl at Aspen Highlands or lap Tiehack at Buttermilk on opening day.
