Easily one of the most beautiful trail races in the country, the Golden Leaf Half Marathon is a fall tradition. And falling as it does this year, on September 23, the leaves should be spectacular all along the way. Racers will run from Snowmass to Aspen, on some of the most scenic trails in the valley. The Golden Leaf is sponsored by Aspen's Ute Mountaineer and the City of Aspen Special Events department. The race is sold out this year, but cheering the competitors along the course is always free!
