After spending Friday and Saturday watching balloons in Snowmass, how about enjoying a couple of fun staples of the fall - the Mac & Cheese Festival and the Aspen Community Picnic? The Mac & Cheese event is Saturday, September 9 and the Community Picnic is September 10. Eat your way through samples of the best mac & cheese offerings of local restaurants on Saturday, and then drop in to the annual community gathering beginning Sunday at 11am at the Aspen Golf Course, just off Hwy 82. The Red Mountain Grill will cater a tasty, locally-sourced free lunch to the first 750 people, and the day will include a wide array of games and activities for the whole family. Sounds like free food and fun will be the highlight of the weekend!
