If you live somewhere that has a lot of ambient light (think big city or suburb), you are probably astonished at the night sky when visiting Aspen. If you love stargazing and don't have many opportunities, tonight is the night for you - it's Stars above Aspen Community Astronomy Night. This is the third annual astronomy night, presented in collaboration with the Aspen Skiing Company and the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, and runs from 6pm-10:30pm. The keynote speaker will be David Aguilar who will present "Fantastic Nights of the Planets" at 8:15pm. Activities throughout the evening include a Starlab planetarium tent, guided telescope station, sunset yoga, constellation lore, physics experiments and more. Tickets for the event are available at the lift ticket office at Aspen Mountain.
