This year's edition of the Summit for Life has been a combination virtual and in-person event. Festivities began on Thanksgiving, launching a 10-day period when participants could begin climbing the distance up the face of Aspen Mountain. The Summit for Life combines racers climbing 3,267 vertical feet, covering a course that is 2.5 miles in length. It's a tough climb, but one that people happily choose to do year after year. The in-person race will take place on Saturday, December 4, beginning at 5:30 pm. All participants will receive a racer bag filled with prize giveaways, and according to the website "top racers and fundraisers will be rewarded for their efforts with amazing prizes.
